2027 Annual Enrollment
Open October 26 through November 11, 2026. Here’s what’s new and what you need to do.
Annual Enrollment is open October 26 through November 11, 2026. Your elections take effect January 1, 2027.
Annual Enrollment is your once-a-year chance to review your benefits and choose your coverage for the year ahead. A lot is new for 2027: a third medical plan, a way to get paid back for seeing top-rated doctors, and a free virtual clinic you can reach by text. Here’s what’s new, how 2027 compares to 2026, and what you need to do before November 11.
This is an active enrollment. Your 2026 medical, Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account elections will not roll over to 2027. To have these benefits next year, you must elect them in Workday by November 11, 2026.
What’s New for 2027
NEW: A Third Medical Plan, the BCBSIL Value HDHP
Starting January 1, 2027, you’ll choose from three medical plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois: the PPO, the HDHP and the new Value HDHP.
The Value HDHP is a high-deductible plan that pairs with a Health Savings Account, like the HDHP. The differences:
- Higher deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. In-network, the deductible is $6,000 individual / $12,000 family, and the out-of-pocket maximum is $8,500 / $17,000.
- No Littelfuse HSA contribution. Littelfuse contributes $500 (individual) or $1,000 (family) to your HSA only if you enroll in the HDHP. You can still contribute your own money to an HSA on the Value HDHP.
Preventive care, prescription coverage, and access to Garner and One to One work the same way on all three plans.
Choosing between them: compare total cost, not just the premium. Add up your payroll contributions for the year and what you expect to spend on care, and see which plan comes out ahead for you. Your 2027 payroll contributions for each plan are in the 2027 Benefits at a Glance.
NEW: Garner Health, Get Paid Back for Seeing Top Doctors
Garner is a free app, paid for by Littelfuse, that works alongside all three medical plans. Using data from millions of patients, Garner identifies the top 20% of doctors in your network based on real patient results.
Find a Top Provider in the Garner app, add them to your Care Team, then visit them. You can be reimbursed for eligible out-of-pocket costs from those visits, including office visits, imaging and lab work, up to $2,000 if you have individual coverage or $4,000 for family coverage.
How you’re paid depends on your plan:
- PPO: through a Garner Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), deposited to your personal bank account
- HDHP or Value HDHP: deposited to your Health Savings Account
Get started: create your account at garnerhealth.com (select Login) and download the Garner app from the App Store or Google Play. The Garner Concierge team can help you find Top Providers, understand your benefit and answer questions about claims: in the app, at concierge@garnerhealth.com or at 866-761-9586.
NEW: One to One TextCare Virtual Clinic
Your dedicated Littelfuse care team is one text away. Text, talk or video chat 24/7, with a response in under five minutes. Visits are free for you and your family, excluding prescriptions, lab work and referrals.
Text (224) 434-3705 to get started, and save the number in your phone. Telemedicine through MDLIVE is still available at no cost on all three medical plans.
NEW: Adult Orthodontia and Expanded Dental Implant Coverage
Orthodontia through the Delta Dental plan now covers adults as well as children. In 2026, it covered children up to age 19. Coverage is 50% after the deductible, up to a $2,000 lifetime maximum per person.
The dental plan also expands coverage for procedures associated with dental implants. For details, contact Delta Dental of Illinois at 800-323-1743.
NEW: Hearing Aid Coverage
Coverage for hearing aids is new for 2027, up to one hearing aid per ear every 24 months. For questions about this coverage, submit a Benefits case in Workday (see Questions? below).
Voluntary Life Insurance: A Good Year to Review Your Coverage
For 2027, you’ll only need to provide Evidence of Insurability (a statement of good health) for voluntary life if you elect more than the guaranteed issue amount. If you’ve been thinking about adding or increasing coverage for yourself or your spouse or domestic partner, this is a good year to review it.
2026 vs. 2027 at a Glance
Here’s how your 2027 benefits compare to 2026, side by side. Amounts are individual / family unless noted.
In short: the PPO and HDHP in-network deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums each go up by $1,000 for individual coverage and $2,000 for family coverage. Out-of-network amounts, copays and coinsurance stay the same. The IRS limit on HSA contributions goes up, and Littelfuse’s HSA contribution on the HDHP stays at $500 / $1,000.
